Waiting is one of the hardest things we’re asked to do. Whether it’s waiting for healing, clarity, breakthrough, or direction, the in-between can feel heavy and uncertain. For those of us walking through seasons of chronic illness, waiting can become a daily companion — waiting for relief, for answers, or simply for the strength to get through the day.
But what if the waiting isn’t wasted?
In my own journey, I’ve learned that waiting is not a pause in God’s plan, but a part of it. He isn’t absent in the silence. He’s working, shaping, refining — even when we don’t see it. And while we may not understand the “why,” we can trust in the “Who.”
Trusting God’s timing doesn’t mean we always feel at peace. It means we anchor ourselves to His promises, even when our emotions tell us otherwise. It’s choosing to believe that He is good, that He sees us, and that His timing — though often different from ours — is always perfect.
Isaiah 40:31 reminds us, “But those who wait on the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles…” This isn’t just poetic encouragement. It’s a promise. In the waiting, there is renewing. In the stillness, there is strengthening.
Peace in the waiting comes when we stop striving and start surrendering. When we lay down our timelines and pick up His peace. When we remember that He’s not just preparing the answer — He’s preparing us.
So if you’re in a season of waiting, you’re not alone. God is with you, walking beside you, holding every moment. Lean into His presence. Let His Word be your comfort. And trust — not just in what He will do, but in who He is.
Because in Him, even the waiting holds purpose.
I pray that you are encouraged today. We can have peace while we wait; we only need to trust in God’s timing.
